Playa Blanca LanzaroteLocated at the Southern tip of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca is another of the islands resorts which has developed from what was once a sleepy fishing village, here you will find a blend of the old and new architecture, recent development has been on the whole sympathetic, with some lovely privately owned villas available. The resort has a much more relaxed laid back feel to it than a lot of other Lanzarote resorts, a great place for a more laid back get away from it all holiday.
One recent development in Playa Blanca is the spectacular Marina Rubicon which attracts yachts from around the world, the area surrounding the marina boasts some excellent restaurants and designer boutiques, a superb place to relax over a meal and watch the luxury yachts come and go. There is also a long promenade which is a great place for an early evening stroll before making your way to one of the many superb restaurants and bars.
Night life in Playa Blanca revolves around the many bars and restaurants, there are no noisy discos but things are still fairly lively with some bars providing live music.
The Papagayo beaches at Playa Blanca are some of the best that Lanzarote has to offer, the main beach is a European Blue Flag.
